Q 3. What do I need for GPU acceleration?

A: The product will automatically use GPU acceleration as long as your computer has NVIDIA CUDA GPUs or ATI OpenCL GPUs. No other item is needed.

Q 4. What do ‘Customize characters”, Specify prefix” and Specify suffix” mean in Brute-force with Mask settings?

A: Customize characters is provided to define your own character set which has been used in the password.

Specify prefix refers to the first one or several characters of the lost password.
Specify suffix refers to the last one or several character of the lost password.

If you can remember some characters of the lost password, but not sure whether the password starts or ends with these characters, please check the box in front of Position variable/floating.

Q 5. What does “Smart Mutation” mean in Dictionary attack settings?

A: Mutation Count allows you to choose a number, that number means you can try combinations among the passwords in dictionary. For example, you choose 2, and then the program will try combinations between every two passwords in the dictionary after trying every password.
By default, smart mutation is 1, and the software will try every single word in the dictionary.

Q 6. Can I create my own dictionary in Chinese or other languages?

A: Of course, you can. The Dictionary attack in this program allows you to use your own dictionary using various languages, including Chinese, English, French, Japanese, etc.
As for how to create your own dictionary, following is a created Dictionary file figure as your reference.

Q 7. I added my own dictionary to the program, but why does the program still use the default dictionary when I run the program?

A: It will be ok if you empty the path of the default dictionary.

Q 8. What if I stop recovering the password?

A: The program will save the recovery process automatically and resume the process when you run the program again even though the recovery process is suspended.

Q 9. I cannot find the place to register the program, what to do?

A: After payment, a registration code will be delivered to you via email soon.

Step 1. Run Word Password Unlocker.

Step 2. Click Help and select Register. It will prompt a dialog for entering your registration code.

Step 3. Enter your registration code and click OK to finish the registration process.

Q 10. What’s the difference between the trial version and full version?

A: For Brute-force and Brute-force with Mask attacks, trial version can only recover the first three characters of the password.
For Dictionary attack, the trial version can only check 10000 combinations in the dictionary as possible password.
